A mind map is an informal invention, which started back in the 3rd century. Now, this is a helpful creation especially for taking down notes. The mind map is useful particularly for the writers when the time comes when they experience writers' block or during the period when they have a hard time in organizing their ideas or their thoughts. Other professionals can also use this including the problem solvers so that they can address challenges and other resources without giving their final decision. The mind map is great when there are ideas flowing into the writer's mind. There should be a central topic if you want to create mind map that is effective. If you are a writer, you can use this type of innovation so that you can arrange and gather your thoughts more efficiently. If you are having trouble in your mind map design, you can follow the seven simple steps especially made for beginners.

First is that you need a topic. Know the focus or the subject of your mind map. It is important that you are able to curtail your topic in a few words. Broad topics should be avoided since this will require more aspects and it will be difficult to generate the additional ideas. Next step is that you need to get your topic at the center of the paper or the page where you will make mind map. It is recommended that you write the main theme in bold letters. You can choose whether you would like to box it or put a circle around the central idea to emphasize it even more.

Third is where you can now write whatever comes into your mind. With your topic, you will be able to generate thoughts. Make sure that you draw a branch that points from the main idea to the additional notions that you may have. Verify that you have written them clearly and that they are in a few words as much as possible. Fourth is to continue branching out your ideas. It is best that you are able to extend one idea to another. You can draw lines to represent lateral thinking. You can choose to number the ideas that you have so that it will be even more organized.

Fifth is to carry on with the ideas. The more ideas that you have and they are branching out, the better it is for your mind map. Sixth is to finalize the thoughts that you have gathered. Once everything is set and you are satisfied with the ideas that you have entered, you can settle with the final result. The last step is to examine the connections that you have made cautiously. You can always edit your work if you wish to do so.

At the end of the entire process, you should have a structure that is comparable to a web only that the composition is full of words and ideas. Guarantee that all the thoughts that you have are related to the central topic. If it does, you have just designed a meaningful mind map.
