Strategy must be developed for 2-5 years. There are so many factors to be taken into account to achieve success in the long term, and Balanced Scorecard helps bring them together in an easy to understand and comprehensive form - strategy maps. One of the greatest advantages of Balanced Scorecard is its flexibility. External business environment is constantly changing and thus any company should respond to external challenges by introducing changes inside the company. Balanced Scorecard can be adjusted in accordance with new market conditions, appearance of a new strong rival, changes in economic situation etc.

Tip #3. Balanced Scorecard as a daily religion for the entire company. Balanced Scorecard shows its true power only when everyone in the company understands his or her contribution to implementation of strategic goals. This to say that every employee should be aware of how his/her work influences company performance. That is why, BSC is to be used on all managerial and production levels of a company.
