Navigation: All Balanced Scorecard Articles > Success Stories Developing launch measures and product launch training is inevitable if you want your new products to be successful in their own right. Check additional information about Launch Measures. When it comes to launching new products, it is very important for any company to implement launch measures. And to do this efficiently, companies should consider undergoing product launch training so that success is ensured when the enterprise makes that vital decision to release the product into the waiting arms of the market. Involvement should be as heavy as needed here - which means that virtually every single employee in the enterprise should take part in this. This way, all employees of the enterprise would be adequately exposed to everything that they do need to be exposed to way before the new product or service would be launched. Moreover, the employees themselves would feel that sense of affinity with the product for the sole reason of having taken part in the said product launch training. The main key to remember here when you are preparing the launch measures and you are undergoing product launch training itself is that all elements that have either a direct or indirect influence on the new product or service should be integrated in the metric system that you are developing. This is the key to smoother operations once the new product finds its way into the market and the public starts patronizing it. This should also be done to ensure the vigilant avoidance of any defects that may occur. This literally means that all departments involved here - from the conceptualization of the product right down to the delivery of the products to the doorsteps of customers - should take responsibility and full ownership of every single process aligning the flow of operations. Accountability is a must - there should indeed be an owner and a driver for all departments involved. So, what are the departments involved here? These would definitely include quality, training, advertising, marketing, and, of course, sales. What is importance here is how all of these departments converge in terms of effort, in accordance with goals and objectives. And by goals and objectives, we do not mean just those of the corporation or enterprise itself! Goals and objectives here should also be those of the department as well as of the personal level. And even if some of your personal goals would differ from those of the departmental ones, there would still be a single purpose that is targeted here - complete customer satisfaction. As for the aspect of training, you have to understand that training programs and methods do have to evolve. The training method or program that was once very applicable and successfully used a few months before just may not be applicable for this new product in the current corporate setting. This is especially true today with the risks and whatnot all companies have to deal with to cope with the hampering effects of global recession. Thus, you need to keep in mind the importance of tailor fitting your training programs and methods. There is really a lot to consider when developing launch measures and product launch training methods. By keeping these aspects in mind, you just may be able to address all the necessary factors and maintain the needed focus as well.
