The customer aspect of the strategy map involves issues that are related to the ties with both potential and existing customers. The two most important issues with this perspective are customer satisfaction and loyalty. The third perspective, internal processes, involves everything that is happening inside a business. Lastly, learning issues cover the training of each individual that make up the workforce. It also requires self-improvement.

These strategy map BSCs can also be useful during board sessions and department chairmen meetings. The reason for this is because the strategy map is very representative and can easily be read.
