Assemblies scorecards can be quite effective in encouraging individual improvement to raise the standards of the group's overall performance. It is also a good way of finding out which shortcomings must be managed and diminished. The strengths and opportunities may also be identified and acted upon to its maximized potential.

It defines goals, sets targets, and provides constant opportunity for learning and growth. It can become a valuable asset in the operation and management of an assembly. In public service, there is always room for growth and improvement. An assemblies scorecard could just be the instrument to inspire better performance and more effective elected officials.

Good performance is essential in getting reelected. Elected government officials then should have quantifiable proof of their achievements over the course of their office. They should be able to show the public how well they have functioned in their positions and also the potential they have for improvement.

Assemblies scorecards are very helpful tools in the management and evaluation of the performance of the members of an assembly. It can also be used to rate the performance of the assembly as a whole and direct its efforts of improvement into the areas that require development.
