It may look rediculous for some people, but many folks love reading magazines and newspapers in hotels. Moreover, some of them even choose particular hotels that provide their customers with fresh press. What is the hotel with excellent service? Sure, these are comfortable and clean rooms, excellent room service, nice and friendly reception staff, excellent cuisine, additional services like possibility to order taxi, enjoy hairdressers' services, free WiFi Internet etc. However, there is one little thing that many people pay attention to. These are newspapers and magazines. It doesn't matter where you are in a hotel, either in your room or in the lobby, it is always good to while you free time looking through fresh newspapers and magazines. Indeed, we got used to this service in hairdressers', sports clubs, fitness classes, dentist and doctors' offices, as well as in all places where we have to wait.

For many people a hotel is a second home. People who hit the road most of the time simply do not have an opportunity to sprawl in the sofa and read a favorite magazine or learn news from a fresh morning newspaper. For many people reading magazines and newspapers is a necessity, or part of their job. In this article will look at several hypothetical situations in which various guests come to a hotel.

Imagine that a woman dressed in fashionable clothes has come to a hotel. While the receptionist does his job, enters the personal information to the system and looks for a nice room, this woman needs to kill the time. She cannot imagine her life without fashion industry. Wouldn't it be nice if she reads have favorite Cosmo? She's crazy over dresses, perfumes and fashion. Thus, such a guest will most certainly appreciate the fact that she has got dozens of fashion magazines in the lobby. She would most certainly appreciate having a couple of magazines in her room. Having left the hotel she will probably value such little detail, and next time when choosing a hotel it is highly probable that she comes back.

Businessmen are often on the road. Financial analysts, business experts, business coaches and consultants travel a lot. Hotel is a second home for them. They need fresh newspapers not to kill the time but to learn the latest news. Sure, the Internet is the best source of information. However, many of us still love smell of fresh newspaper paint. Besides, not all magazines have their online versions. Thus, a business consultant cannot imagine waking up without having morning coffee and reading his favorite Financial Times. In fact, you would come down only when he finds a fresh morning paper. People are so different, and hotels need to satisfy needs of various customers.

Hotel top managers may first conduct a survey, asking hotel visitors to share their preferences in newspapers and magazines. For example, if there are lots of guests with kids it would be reasonable to subscribe to kids magazines, paint books etc.

Experience shows that although hotel management should spend certain amount of money to subscribe or by newspapers and magazines, customer loyalty will most certainly improve which means that the hotel will have a lodge a number of regular customers and thus the hotel may expect growth of revenue.
