Training, metrics, monitoring, are some of the evaluation characteristics of data processing and/or business processing, astute and professional companies, businesses and corporations inherently are always astutely aware of the need for training metrics.

Training is realistically the acquisition of skill sets, competencies, and/or knowledge enveloping all areas of any business in industry and/or commerce. Upgrading and updating skill sets is an area that requires monitoring,observing and controlling. Typical areas where training is essential are high tech processes, IT systems, and a multitude of other areas or sectors of a business. Many principle manufacturers and developers of products, equipment and/or systems provide training services and programs. Typically in oil refinery control systems the manufacturing company will provide a turnkey real time controls system that is supplied, installed, implemented and commissioned by the equipment manufacturer and vendor. The system will then be operating and monitoring etc while supported by a composite warranty support program. On expiration of the warranty timeline, the vendor, then hands over 100 per cent the system to the owner/operator, who will then be responsible to operate and maintain the system. To effect these requirements the owner/operators will have to be 'up to speed' in all areas of the system operations and maintenance. To meet these objectives the owner/operator system operatives will have attended the requisite product and system training programs provided by the product vendor. Training is an essential element of all areas of business in 2010 and can never be overlooked or ignored. Facts are facts in commerce and industry and there is quite simply no way systems and equipment can be maintained to ensure they operate within the set manufacturers design and operating design and operating parameters without all staff being fully trained before they are seconded to maintain specialist equipment.

Metrics are decimal,digital values of measurement, sets of measured units et al. Some metrics that are known by one and all are metrics that essential service suppliers deliver, electricity power supply companies deliver electricity to users and customers and the customer pays for each metrics measured unit of consumed power charged by the vendor to the buyer who is metered with the payable metrics set in Kilo Watts Hour - kWh. Another essential service is water which is sold via a metrics value of cubic meters of water. Metrics value parameters are integrated into all areas of installed computer systems operating on a selection of operating platforms LAN - local area network, WAN - wide area network, Cloud computing - access to internet based applications that are stored and hosted on the web, and can be accessed for use from any internet connection anywhere in the world

Which ever route you use to access your computer application via computerized engineering gateways, home computers, office computers, business computers, lap tops or any other selected data access gateway. Remember never ever access computer systems and applications until you are product trained and are aware of the computer system metrics values and parameters. In this way training metrics can be effective tool to measure training performance.
