While it is true that these indicators are critical in order for a business to continue to subsist, it is necessary as well that their implementation is assured. Hence, there is a necessity to come up with an outline to do so. Close supervision that these are implemented and studied to further improve the organization and what it sets out to achieve is needed as well. These indicators are based on the more important aspects of a business or an organization, such as goals, staff competency, productivity, or a few other indicators. These depend on what needs to be determined and decided upon by the management, based on the goals of their organization. While goals are realized through plans mapped out for the entire organization, there is also the need to build a certain process to ensure that plans are realized and goals achieved. This is where indicators become useful when they are implemented well - therefore, the need for a KPI framework. These indicators determine how well or bad a certain business or organization is doing, thereby helping which direction the organization needs to go. The KPI framework, therefore, is a guide in determining performance and productivity of a particular organization. This framework therefore is composed of a set of goals, a plan on how to achieve these predetermined goals, which is composed of strategies that are to be implemented and expected to yield results within a certain timeframe and with a certain allocation of resources. All these have to be done keeping in mind that everything is geared towards the realization of the goals set up in the beginning. Of course, much of these would depend on how well the employees perform, which is a direct result of how many other factors, such as benefits, attitude, training, and a few others are considered. Bear in mind that these KPIs have become useful in determining the extent of performance of individuals in the organization, such as the bonus indicator. These indicators come in various forms and though may be similar indicators among organizations, there are certain differences depending on the goal and orientation of each organization. These indicators are an integral part of a well determined course of action meant to become the means of achieving a realistic objective. They have been well thought of by management and are not just a result of their whims. The usefulness of these KPIs is their being a support tool for managers and executives to get a realistic picture of what is happening in the entire organization. If top management wants to know how well their people are performing or how effective they have become with the services they offer, then indicators are a great way to find out. The implementation of these indicators would determine how effective a business is in achieving its goals. That is why the need to provide management with the necessary information on how things are being implemented. It does not necessarily mean having numerous indicators to achieve success. What should be given more attention is how well these indicators when implemented are being monitored to provide the necessary information whether the business is on the right track with its goals or not.
