In order to achieve proper balanced scorecard implementation, there are processes that are involved here. The first one is to make sure that you know what exactly the balanced scorecard is. So what is this so called BSC? This is a planning system for the management and the strategies so that the business activities will be aligned with the vision of the organization. With the BSC, the company will be able to manage the business even better at every level. Now that you know what the BSC is all about, you can now create the balanced scorecard for your company.

There are tools that you can utilize today and they will help you create the BSC for your company. If you do not trust these programs to do the task for you, you can try the organizations that are dedicated in analyzing the needs of your company and they will be the ones to provide the scorecard for you. Of course, you can always choose to do everything manually. To start the generation of your BSC, there are some things that you must understand. These include the fact that you have to provide the mission and vision statements for your company. You should also have the strategic plan at hand. After that, you should determine the financial status of the enterprise that you are managing as well as other issues like the structure and operation of the company. Aside from those mentioned, you should also know about the level of expertise of your workers and the satisfaction level of your customers.

There four general departments that your BSC should encompass. These are all important when it comes to the balanced scorecard implementation. The first one is finance and you can take in the areas such as the cash flow, the ROI or the Return on Investment, the quarterly or yearly financial results and the return on capital used. The second is for the internal business processes, which should take on the number of activities as well as the duplicates for every function, process bottlenecks, automation and alignment. In the latter, you can ask whether the processes that are being applied in every department are indeed suitable for them.

The third is learning and growth in which the areas that should be considered are the job satisfaction, the opportunities for learning or training and employee turnover. It is also appropriate for you to determine whether the employees are apt for the job that you have assigned them with. The last but definitely not the least is regarding the customers. Here, you should verify that the services or the products meet the expectations of the clients including the quality and the delivery. Additionally, you can include the areas about the satisfaction rate, the retention rate and the percentage of sale.

The correct balanced scorecard implementation helps you to ensure that your company is doing well in the market. Performance measurement is also an easy task since you have a balanced view as to how your company is doing under different conditions at the present time.
