Therefore, hotel evaluation is the process of measuring the accomplishments and the outputs produced from working at the enterprise. In order for you to correctly monitor hotel performance, you should be able to create a system that is standardized throughout the entire organization and should lead your company into performance excellence. Thus, it is important that you look at the measures that you have. They should be specific to the organization and they should be linked to the strategy of the hotel. Multiple measures should be utilized but it is essential that you are confident that you can manage them all. These measures should include internal and external, outcome measures, performance drivers and financial and non financial measures. The measures that you will be using should be friendly to the users, which means that they should be easy to use, available promptly and are simple. Lastly, they should be aligned and integrated according to the hierarchy of the functions of the organization. There are many ways that will enable you to perform a hotel evaluation including a hotel survey wherein you will ask the customers about their experience while staying at the hotel. You can include in the hotel survey the question about why they decided to stay which can be of varied reasons including business motives, location, advertisements, price, recommendations, recreational facilities and the like. Whatever means you choose in evaluating the performance of your hotel, you should be able to use the information that you have obtained in making the right decisions. With hotel evaluation, you will become more aware about what your customers expect from your business. Apart from that, you will have the skills and the knowledge to deliver or meet those expectations. Hotel evaluation should be supported by the whole organization so that this will develop the capacity to act properly according to the feedback acquired.
