You may know how easy it is to find PDF files on your computer but do you know how you can do this online? Know what the answer is in this article. Check additional information about Find PDF.

PDF documents are very helpful especially when you are researching about a particular topic. They contain comprehensive information and they often offer explanations that will help you during the research process. If you would like to find PDF on the web, the process is not the same when you search for them on your computer. Usually, you will only have to open up the search window in your system and then enter the filename of the document you are looking for. If you forget the filename, it is not a problem because you can always use wildcards. For instance, you can enter "*.pdf" so that it will return you with all the PDF files on your computer. However, if you will be looking online, you cannot use the example given above. So how do you find PDF files on the web?

There are different ways on how you can find PDF files online. The first is through the use of search engines. You can specify the results that they will give you by inserting this when you search: "filetype:pdf." So for instance, you would like to gain information about computers, you can use this: "computers filetype:pdf." As easy as that, you will have the results that you want and they are all in PDF format. You can substitute the word "computers" with anything that you would like to search for. By the way, this is applicable to those users who are utilizing Google as their search engine.

On the other hand, if you are using the Yahoo search engine, you can use this: "originurlextension:pdf" instead of "filetype:pdf." So for example, you are searching again for commuters, you can use this: "computers originurlextension:pdf." If you would like to instantly search for files without using any search engine and the appropriate parameters, you can use specific sites that are similar to libraries. They usually contain files, manuals and books that are all in PDF format. Make sure that you bookmark those sites so that you will remember them when you need to find PDF online.

Online PDF search is helpful because all you have to do is enter a particular website and then key in the keyword or key phrases that are connected to the topic that you are searching for. It is like a PDF search engine that will return you with results that are only in PDF format. Once you are through with PDF file lookup on the web, there are also other helpful sites that you may be interested in. You can create a graph or a document and then save it into a PDF file. You can also convert your documents into PDF just by using the websites. You can later print out the PDF files if you wish to do so.

There are also pieces of software that will help you find PDF on the web or in your computer. Most of them are free so you can enjoy searching online or locally without the need to pay for the software application that you would like to utilize.
