Many employee transit and housing beneficial package sets are now being offered in order to ensure that every employee will have a decent and quality life, whether inside or outside of the workplace. Transportation has always been a problem with employees and employers alike that is why the probing of HR in transportation related issues is still in progress. The Human Resources or HR department of a company handles all aspects of employee conflicts and concerns that are relevant to the business. Retention, recruitment, benefits and packages as well as the payroll are all under the supervision of the HR. One of the main issues that they are encountering today is about the stand of HR in transportation problems. Turns out, employees nowadays are facing the global issue of commuting and transportation. Commute times increase by 10 percent each year according to global census and this obviously poses threat in various companies and organizations. The mismatch between where jobs and where an average employee can afford to live is too much of a conflict to ignore. We all know how big each and every employee plays in organizational development so it goes without saying that there is something that needs to be done. This is when organizations decided to take action for they cannot really afford to lose employees and meet their downfall. The HR in transportation issues' stand remained vague for several years, as the need to carefully study each action took quite a while. In the end, after millions of meetings and conferences regarding employee transportation problems, they decided to once and for all, solve the nearly impossible to cover using public transportation commuting patterns by implementing several things. The role of HR in transportation conflicts is to resolve the dramatically growing gap of a stable, productive and loyal workforce. One of the drastic measures that the HR in transportation problems did was develop a set of programs that gives benefits and incentives to employees to convince them to live near the establishments where they work and take public transportation. In terms of reputation, this is a win-win situation for companies as they were able to help their local community and at the same time, improve the quality of life of their employees and workers. The measures used by corporate handlers and HR in transportation issues however, is not standardized. Some organizations use the set of benefits that they developed while others are still continuing their research and studies if their respective companies will gain or lose if they will try to implement it. Either way, these are just some of the solutions that were developed by various HR in transportation conflicts: 1. Transit benefit programs that aims to omit from consideration all the money spent by employees for their commuting expenditures in terms of income and payroll taxes; 2.Housing programs assisted by employers are also being implemented wherein employers help their workers buy a house closer to their jobs in order to save in transit expenses, and; 3.Increasing housing affordability through location efficient mortgages. Take note that while the term "employers" are the ones often dragged when it comes into executing and implementing beneficial packages for employees and staffs, the ones who are really in action are their respective Human Resources department. It is now safe to say that there is something being done by the employers and the HR in transportation problems and hopefully, sooner or later, all organizations will adopt the process and continue to strive while ensuring that all their workers' needs are being attended to.
