Remuneration is known as the reward an employee accepts in return for the contribution he or she has given to the organization. Remuneration alignment takes up a very important spot in the verve of a worker. His level of comfort as well as his society status, inspiration, devotion, and efficiency will heavily depend upon the payment he receives. The employer should also remember that this is significant to him or her because of its role to the rate of production.

The majority of the employees that belong in an organized sector believe that they are entitled to more than a few benefits either financial or non-financial. Specifically, remuneration alignment comprises of different aspects. These include wages, salary, fringe benefits, incentives, privileges, and non-monetary remuneration.

When it comes to wages, they are the hourly rates that correspond to the payment for the individual. Salary on the other hand refers to the rate of pay which occurs monthly, without taking into consideration the number of hours that an employee worked. These two are subject to once a year increases. Evidently, they vary from one employee to another and will depend upon the seniority, nature of job and merit. In every state, there are corresponding minimum wage and salary.

Moving on, incentives are also known as payments by results. They are paid besides the wages or salaries that an employee receives. Incentives are reliant on the factors like productivity, sales, earnings or price reduction efforts. Incentive systems include individual incentive plans and cluster incentive programs. The former refers to incentives that are applicable to particular performance of the employee.

Fringe benefits include different employee benefits like provident funds, freebies, medical care, uniform, canteen, accident relief, insurance for group and health, recreation, hospitalization and many others.

Perquisites or perks are often given to executives. Frequently, these include a new company car, membership to an elite club, paid holidays, stock option schemes, fully furnished house and a whole lot more. These perquisites are given to them to keep hold of the competency of the executives.

Also included in the remuneration grouping are job responsibilities that are very challenging, merit recognition, growth prospects, comfortable working space and conditions, competent supervision, flexible time and job sharing.

If the remuneration is not given well to the employee, there will be significant problems that will arise. For example, the employees will be absent from work over and over again because they believe that they are not paid adequately. They will eventually look for better prospects for the reason that the present organization may not be able to compensate for them enough.

Even though remuneration as well as the other forms of financial incentives is present, most companies have a fairly small presence in the compensation plan of the company. Most of the time, they are chiefly in the form of proposals or yearly bonus payments, which may only have a little effect on the productivity of the employees. Therefore it is important for companies to remember that reward fro employees is a good method to raise productivity.
